Who We Are
We’re a vibrant group of enthusiasts united by a passion for bonsai. Through education, exhibits, and social activities, we celebrate the artistry and dedication behind creating living art. Our exhibits showcase stunning trees, pots, and accents, each reflecting years of craftsmanship and care by our talented members.
We meet at the Milwaukie Center, 5440 SE Kellogg Creek Drive, Milwaukie, OR. Meeting dates and times are posted on our Events Page.
What We Do
Our monthly meetings are lively, engaging, and open to all members—whether you’re a bonsai beginner or a seasoned practitioner. Starting with informal social time at 6:00 PM and followed by programs at 7:00 PM, these gatherings are a cornerstone of our community.
Each meeting offers unique opportunities to connect, learn, and grow:
Presentations and Demonstrations: Gain invaluable insights from experienced artists and bonsai professionals who share techniques, styles, and creative inspiration.
Vendor Marketplace: Explore a curated selection of bonsai tools, pots, and supplies offered by local vendors.
Monthly Display: Enjoy a formal display showcasing members’ trees, where you can learn from others' techniques and approaches.
Raffle and Auction: Take part in our raffle or auction for a chance to win trees, tools, and other bonsai treasures, often at fantastic prices.
These gatherings are more than just meetings—they’re a “9-Ring Circus”, fostering community and helping members deepen their skills and appreciation for the art.
Beyond our regular meetings, we host a variety of special events—from workshops and exhibits to shopping and social gatherings. These events provide fantastic opportunities to connect with fellow members, refine your skills, and immerse yourself in the bonsai community. One highlight is our annual holiday party, a festive evening filled with camaraderie, activities, and a live auction.

Membership
Support our programming and become part of our community! Annual dues are $30 for individuals and $40 for families. Members enjoy benefits like access to general meetings & workshops, a lending library, and a monthly newsletter packed with tips and updates. Join us today!
